The Rheumatologist will provide specialized care for patients with various rheumatic diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, spondylarthropathies, and others. The role involves working within an integrated practice model with strong internal referrals and support from specialists across the health system, utilizing the EPIC medical record platform.
Key Responsibilities
- • Provide care for patients with rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, spondylarthropathies including ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, reactive arthritis and enteropathic arthritis, inflammatory myositis, systemic sclerosis, gout and calcium pyrophosphate dihydrate deposition disease, Behcet’s disease, systemic sarcoidosis, and rheumatic complications in transplant medicine
- • Work in clinics located in Covington, LA within St. Tammany Parish
- • Utilize infusion suites located in Covington and Slidell
- • Participate in an integrated practice model with a strong internal referral network
- • Collaborate with regional clinic health centers offering lab, diagnostic, and outpatient surgical services
- • Leverage support available from specialists throughout the Ochsner Health System
- • Use the EPIC medical record platform utilized throughout the Ochsner Health System
- • No hospital call required
