Join a leading AI lab’s cutting-edge GenAI team and help build foundational AI models from the ground up. We're seeking talented Surgery subject-matter experts (SMEs) to bring deep domain expertise and elevate the quality of our AI training data. This is a remote, flexible opportunity to collaborate directly with the research teams of a leading AI lab.

What You'll Do

  • Guide research teams to close knowledge gaps and improve AI model performance in Surgery.

  • Create and maintain precise annotation standards tailored to Surgery. As a domain SME, you'll set the gold standard for quality and rigor.

  • Develop guidelines and detailed rubrics/evaluation frameworks to assess Medicine reasoning across tasks.

  • Design challenging, domain-relevant tasks across multiple specializations, and write accurate and well-structured solutions to medical problems.

  • Evaluate medical tasks and solutions and provide clear, written feedback.

  • Collaborate with other subject matter experts to ensure consistency and accuracy in training data.

Qualifications

  • Location: Currently living in the US, UK, or Canada.

  • Education: MD or DO from a reputable medical school.

  • Experience: Have 2+ years of clinical practice experience at a top-tier institution practicing Surgery.

What We Offer

  • Pay rate between $230 and $270 per hour. 

  • Long-term (6-12 months) role directly reporting to the research team of a leading AI lab.

  • Flexible, remote work that will have a significant impact on the development of advanced AI models.

  • Ideal commitment of ~40hrs/week with a minimum availability of ~20 hrs/week. You'll join calibration calls with the client’s team 2-5x per week.
