Job Description Summary
Responsible for overall business strategy and operations of clinical staff for 13 Carelon clinics and field clinical teams in the Southern California region.
Primary Duties May Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Maintains and develops Carelon Health's comprehensive healthcare delivery system
Manages Medical Officers and associated clinical staff
Travels to all southern CA clinics and provides leadership to providers and clinical staff
Develops business strategy and provides direction for the delivery of performance based medical management
Manages budget and risk drivers
Analyzes and reports business performance data to senior leadership; partners with Region GM to analyze local profit and loss performance
Contributes to the internal and external health industry development efforts.
May perform clinical duties as needed which include taking calls, reviewing cases and patient discharge plans, admitting patients, partnering with case managers on patient transfers, seeing patients at Care Centers and giving pre-op clearance
Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports and associated medical staff
Requirements:
Requires an MD or DO
Minimum of 5 years of experience with Internal Medicine which includes a minimum of 3 years of administrative experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Minimum of 5 years clinical leadership experience
Requires current unrestricted California medical licensure and board eligibility or board certification
Compensation: $316,848K - $396,060K annual salary, bonus eligible, and benefits package
