Position Summary:
If you would like to utilize your Oncology clinical experience to engage with Life Science businesses and contribute to improved patient care across multiple practices while managing a clinical team and collaborating with other teams (analytics, operations, sales, product), this is a great position for you. This position, Senior Medical Director, is critical to the success of our business as a board-certified Medical Oncologist. This role requires support of the PrecisionQ sales pipeline with life science clients. In order to provide this support, you must be familiar with medical oncology prevailing treatments, patient management, and the direction of new therapies. You will provide leadership and management for medical based consultation with clients & internal teams across product and service lines, training & coaching of Integra Connect staff, and supporting multiple services and products. All of this work involves support of Clinical Curation Requirements, Global Clinical Logic, Lines of Therapy Rules, as well as extensive Clinical Guidelines expertise and interpretation. Clinical oncology publication experience in peer reviewed journals.
In addition to Practice experience, Management experience is required including leadership of a clinical team in the development and use of data to drive patient care improvements and outcomes. Additionally, specific examples of successful collaboration with non-clinical staff to develop data products, software, and insights are required. Successful experience and/or demonstrated desire to partner with Sales, Operations, and Marketing to deliver on existing commitments and grow a multi-million-dollar business.
This is a full-time position within regular business hours that may include odd early morning and evening hours depending on client and business needs. The position requires travel at least 25% of the time to meet with life science clients, practices, and internal team meetings as well as professional conferences (e.g. ASCO, ASH, SABCS, etc.)
Responsibilities:
Serves as a scientific lead to provide clinical, healthcare data, and research leadership, ensuring quality and translating real-world data into insights that benefit cancer patients. This includes guiding decisions about how EHR-derived datasets are developed and used and driving projects from concept to data to interpretation. Provide clinical and scientific input as a member of cross-functional teams to develop real-world datasets and analyses that accelerate evidence generation for progress in cancer care. Scientific lead for publications including abstracts and manuscripts. Serve as a primary clinical and scientific voice of the company both internally, and to our life sciences clients, practices, and other external partners. Serve as a thought leader for the direction of the company and its products and services. Contribute to data model development, analyses, results interpretation, and publications. Provide guidance to cross-functional teams when developing novel methods, processes, products, and services. Work cross-functionally to ensure the highest clinical quality and scientific relevance of our products and data. Represent Integra Connect at conferences, both in a speaking and a networking capacity. Lead research projects within Integra Connect, and in collaboration with external partners including life science companies, government, and other partners. People Manager of medical team. 25% travel for client meetings, internal meetings, and conferences.Qualifications:
Medical degree (M.D., D.O. or equivalent). You're a medical oncologist with 1-5 years of experience in adult oncology in a community or academic setting. State license to practice medicine. Board certified in Medical Oncology in good standing. You have demonstrated expertise in one or more oncology-relevant methodological areas (e.g., outcomes research, health services research, quality improvement science, clinical trials, real-world evidence, etc.). You have experience working with real-world data sources (e.g., EHR, claims, etc.), or experience working with industry in drug development, either in the industry setting or as an academic collaborator. Established history of peer reviewed publications in oncology patient treatment and outcomes research based on real-world data. Demonstrate a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, translate complex medical information to non-clinician teams. Develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of clinical and non-clinical colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create a business impact. Advisory Board moderation and education of physician colleagues is highly preferred.Benefits:
