The Market Chief Medical Officer Medicare,; reports directly to the Executive Vice President Chief Medical Officer. ;The position is responsible for Medicare clinical leadership and execution of all health care affordability and clinical quality initiatives to achieve goals

Responsibilities:;

  • Helps to lead AmeriHealth Caritas Medicare clinical programs;
  • Quality initiatives to improve HEDIS and other quality ratings;
  • Collaborates with the providers, community and state regulatory agencies to improve care.;
  • Works with the Plan’s membership and physician community and health system networks, medical/physician professional associations, government representatives, and advocacy groups to advance clinical excellence and the delivery of cost efficient care. ;

Work Arraignment: Remote with potential travel to Newtown Square;

Education/Experience

  • A medical degree (M.D. or D.O.);
  • Must have unrestricted licensed to practice in the state(s) assigned as a medical director/doctor and recognized by the proper licensing authority.
  • Must be Board-certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine;
  • Must be clear of any sanctions by the applicable state or Office of the Inspector General.
  • Must not be prohibited from participating in any Federally or State funded healthcare programs.
  • Must have a minimum of (5) five years of clinical practice experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of medical management and general management experience in a managed care environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).; Access is a plus.
  • Experience with Marketplace Health Insurance is preferred;
