Responsibilities:;
- Helps to lead AmeriHealth Caritas Medicare clinical programs;
- Quality initiatives to improve HEDIS and other quality ratings;
- Collaborates with the providers, community and state regulatory agencies to improve care.;
- Works with the Plan’s membership and physician community and health system networks, medical/physician professional associations, government representatives, and advocacy groups to advance clinical excellence and the delivery of cost efficient care. ;
Work Arraignment: Remote with potential travel to Newtown Square;
Education/Experience
- A medical degree (M.D. or D.O.);
- Must have unrestricted licensed to practice in the state(s) assigned as a medical director/doctor and recognized by the proper licensing authority.
- Must be Board-certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine;
- Must be clear of any sanctions by the applicable state or Office of the Inspector General.
- Must not be prohibited from participating in any Federally or State funded healthcare programs.
- Must have a minimum of (5) five years of clinical practice experience.
- A minimum of five (5) years of medical management and general management experience in a managed care environment is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).; Access is a plus.
- Experience with Marketplace Health Insurance is preferred;
