We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Medical Director to join our growing team. This role will be instrumental in overseeing the clinical operations of our services in Longevity Medicine. Serving as an adjunct to the Medical Director, this individual will provide strategic and real-time support across clinical care and provider operations.The ideal candidate will bring a strong clinical background, leadership experience in managing clinical teams, and a proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally to enhance patient care and drive operational excellence.
This position requires a strategic leader who can bridge clinical expertise with operational and administrative aspects to ensure seamless care delivery, while working closely with other departmental teams to enhance patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership:
Provide clinical leadership across the specialties of Longevity Medicine, including cardiometabolic health, hormone therapy in men and women, peptides, and lifestyle medicine
Oversee and direct clinical care to ensure best practices are implemented and patient safety is prioritized
Lead the clinical team in delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring adherence to relevant clinical guidelines
Serve as a key resource for clinical staff, providing guidance and support in diagnosing, treating, and managing patient care
Provide direct clinical care, including covering patient visits as needed, ensuring continuity of care across the provider team.
Team Management:
Manage and mentor clinical teams, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals, fostering an environment of collaboration, professional development, and continuous learning
Serve as a key resource for the Quality Assurance Manager Serve as a key resource for the Clinical Operations Manager and Lead
Operational Oversight:
Oversee daily clinical telehealth operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with medical standards
Ensure smooth integration of clinical workflows with operational processes, including appointment scheduling, patient communication, and follow-up care
Serve as an administrative delegate to the Medical Director for signing prescriptions and managing state-specific medical licensing responsibilities.
Collaborate with senior leadership on improving clinical operational efficiency and addressing any challenges that may arise
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work:
Work closely with other departments such as insurance reimbursement, health coaches, customer service, and administrative teams to enhance patient care and experience
Act as a key liaison with the Engineering and Product team to enhance telehealth functionality and workflow efficiency
Participate in the development and execution of strategies to ensure alignment across the organization, particularly in patient education, wellness programs, and clinical protocols
Insurance & Reimbursement:
Work with the insurance reimbursement team to ensure that clinical services are appropriately covered and compliant with insurance policies
Stay current on healthcare reimbursement trends and best practices, ensuring clinical procedures and treatments align with reimbursement guidelines
EHR Management:
Oversee and guide the clinical team in the effective and efficient use of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
Ensure that EHR practices support accurate documentation, streamlined workflows, and adherence to regulatory requirements
Patient-Centered Care:
Champion patient engagement through collaborative efforts with health coaches and customer service teams, ensuring a holistic and personalized approach to care
Monitor patient satisfaction, gather feedback, and continuously improve patient care experiences
Education & Development:
Stay abreast of the latest developments in Longevity Medicine, HRT, Peptides, Cardiometabolic Health, and related fields to ensure clinical practices remain at the forefront of innovation
Lead clinical training and continuing education for the team to support their professional growth and ensure optimal patient care outcomes
Lead and develop clinical training programs for new and existing providers, ensuring alignment with Lifeforce protocols, best practices, and patient care standards
Qualifications
Education: Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
Requirements:
Board certification in relevant specialties (e.g., Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Family Medicine)
Experience in a remote clinical setting that integrates health coaching and lifestyle interventions
Highly Preferred: Multi-state licensure (10+ states) with active DEA; this role will support expansion and management of state coverage to enable nationwide care delivery
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a relevant medical field, with a focus on Longevity Medicine, HRT, Testosterone Optimization, Peptides, Lifestyle Medicine, and Cardiometabolic Health
At least 3 years of leadership experience in managing clinical teams and telehealth operational functions
Proven experience in working with insurance reimbursement, EHR systems, and integrating clinical practice with administrative operations
Experience in functional or integrative medicine preferred
Experience collaborating with pharmacy operations, including support for prescribing workflows, fulfillment logistics, and pharmacy coordination preferred
Skills:
Strong clinical expertise in Longevity Medicine, Hormone Replacement Therapy, Peptides, and Cardiometabolic Health
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams
Strong understanding of insurance processes and reimbursement models
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
Ability to collaborate across teams and departments to ensure seamless patient care
Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and clinical management software
A patient-first mentality, with a focus on education, support, and holistic care
