Full Job Description


We are looking for Physicians to write, review, and validate prompt-based questions designed to train AI. Pathologists are especially encouraged to apply.


Your expertise in clinical care, diagnostic reasoning, laboratory medicine, and disease interpretation will ensure each prompt and response is medically accurate and educationally valuable. We welcome physicians across all specialties to help create comprehensive training materials that reflect real-world healthcare practice. You are a good fit if you:

  • Have over 3+ years of clinical or diagnostic experience in medicine. Experience in pathology preferred.

  • Hold an M.D., D.O., or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution

  • Have a strong background in one or more of the following: Clinical reasoning, diagnosis, and treatment planning; histopathology and laboratory test interpretation; EMR documentation, SOAP notes, or lab report writing; evidence-based medicine and medical guideline adherence

  • Communication of complex findings to clinical teams or patients

  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Have strong attention to details

Preferred Qualification

  • Board Certification is preferred

  • Experience with clinical documentation tools, LIS systems, or medical education is highly encouraged.


Role Highlights

  • Flexible workload: 10–20 hours per week, with potential to increase to 40 hours.

  • Fully remote and asynchronous—work on your own schedule.

  • Minimum duration: 1–2 months, with potential for extension.


Role Start Date

  • This role will begin in early to mid-July with applications reviewed on a rolling basis.

Interview Process

  • You will take an AI interview where you will be asked questions about your background in clinical medicine or pathology.

  • You will share your screen and write a detailed prompt to generate an AI response about a medical or diagnostic topic.

  • You will evaluate and compare LLM outputs to determine which response is more effective and accurate.

  • Applicants will be selected based on their performance in the AI interview and on the accuracy and quality of their evaluations.


Compensation and Legal Details

  • You will be legally classified as an hourly contractor for Mercor

  • We will pay you out at the end of each week via Stripe Connect
