The Medical Director plays a pivotal role in executing on the clinical operations of our healthcare services, ensuring that patient care is delivered with the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This position is responsible for developing and implementing clinical policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and best practices in the industry. The Medical Director will collaborate with various stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, to enhance member outcomes and optimize resource utilization. Additionally, this role involves analyzing clinical data to identify trends and areas for improvement, ultimately driving strategic initiatives that support the organization's mission. The Medical Director is responsible for ensuring that our healthcare services are not only effective but also compassionate and patient-centered.
Minimum Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution with an active, unrestricted, Florida license. A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting. Previous experience within a health plan or managed care organization.Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field. Familiarity with value-based care models and population health management. Experience in clinical quality improvement initiatives. Strong understanding of health care regulations and compliance requirements.Responsibilities:
Execute on clinical operations to ensure compliance with health care regulations and standards. Collaborate with clinical teams to develop and implement evidence-based clinical guidelines and protocols. Provide clinical expertise and guidance in the development of health plan policies and programs. Engage with patients, families, and stakeholders to promote a patient-centered approach to care. Serve as a clinical leader in the performance of utilization management and quality of care functions. Work collaboratively with care management staff and leadership to minimize unnecessary utilization of resources. Perform other duties as assigned.
