The Director/Sr. Director, Field Medical Effectiveness & Training leads the development and implementation of training, tools, and processes to enhance the performance and impact of the Global Field Medical Affairs team. Reporting to the Executive Director, Field Medical Affairs, the Director/Sr. Director, Field Medical Effectiveness & Training, is a strategic leader responsible for enhancing the effectiveness, efficiency, and impact of the Global Field Medical Affairs team. This role will lead the development and implementation of training, tools, systems, and processes that enable global field medical teams to deliver scientific value, engage with key stakeholders, and support the company’s medical strategy. This individual will play a key role in gathering field insights, developing strategic initiatives, overseeing learning and development, and measuring the effectiveness of global field medical teams.
This role can be based in our Waltham, MA headquarters or fully remote. Waltham-based employees are required to be on site 3 days a week.

Requires an advanced scientific or clinical degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, OD, PA, DNP, MSN) 8 years of experience in Medical Affairs or Field Medical Affairs roles is preferred Prior field medical training and operations experience required Prior launch experience preferred Experience in a start-up, entrepreneurial environment preferred Proven track record of developing and implementing field medical strategies and programs Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry regulations, including OIG, PhRMA, and global compliance standards Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Veeva), data analytics, and digital engagement tools preferred Experience with AI/ML in field medical affairs capacities preferred Excellent time management Demonstrated ability to work independently Excellent presentation skills Must be a pro-active team player, amenable to change, and comfortable working in ambiguous situations Proven mindset for proactive continuous improvement Strong attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to handle multiple tasks Strong commitment to ethical standards Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.) Ability to travel up to 25% The salary range for this position is commensurate with experienceViridian offers a comprehensive benefits package including:
