The Opportunity

Since 2005, MDCalc has been an essential part of the clinician’s workflow to help achieve better patient outcomes. Actively used by more than 65% of US physicians, MDCalc is the most broadly used medical reference – at the point-of-care – for clinical decision tools and content, and one of only four references used by >50% of US HCPs. These evidence-based tools and content are used by millions of medical professionals globally and support 50+ specialties and cover 200+ patient conditions.

The Physician Editors will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and relevance of our clinical content. These part-time positions (~60 hours/year) involve editorial review, content creation, and acting as an ambassador for MDCalc within the specialty-specific and broader medical communities.

The Role

Recruit and engage subject matter experts to create content Provide editorial review of specialty-related feedback and content on MDCalc Contribute relevant text for our Clinical Decision Support (CDS) tools, and recruit contributors to do the same Write short-form content to educate users about relevant tools Serve as an evangelist for MDCalc to the physician, life science, and healthcare community Act as an ambassador to connect MDCalc with relevant medical societies and organizations Provide feedback to enhance the MDCalc user experience Respond to requests for assistance within 3 business days unless previously excused Participate in monthly meetings with MDCalc staff

Your Background

Board-certified physician in active clinical practice Strong academic credentials Demonstrated ability to author engaging clinical content (e.g., textbooks, journal articles, review articles, blogs, podcasts) Excellent communication and editorial skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
