FHM Memorial Hospital has 100 staffed beds and is affiliated with the Family Health Centers Health network, which sees over 575,000 patients annually. Join our nationwide Physician Advisory team, which includes 23 onsite physician advisors employed by Sound and 39 onsite physician advisors directly employed by the hospitals we support. Together, they collaborate to provide expert guidance and drive better outcomes. Our physician advisory team operates across multiple states, including Arizona, California, Florida, Kentucky, Nevada, and West Virginia, collaborating with partner hospitals to improve services and outcomes. The team leads utilization management (UM) efforts, clinical documentation improvement (CDI), and regulatory compliance. Our role is to drive hospital performance improvement, such as length of stay, readmissions, and enhanced documentation.

Qualifications

Board certification in ABMS in IM, EM, or CC is required. Experience in utilization management, compliance, or clinical documentation improvement preferred. Strong leadership, education, and collaboration skills.

Our standard schedule is Monday through Friday, with no evening calls or weekend shifts, providing a healthy work-life balance that supports both our team and the community. There is an opportunity in this hybrid position for 50% onsite and 50% remote.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Advisor, you’ll lead efforts to improve regulatory compliance, documentation, and utilization of hospital resources. Collaborate closely with case management, clinical documentation improvement, and revenue cycle leadership teams to identify and address performance improvement opportunities. Provide one-on-one and group education to medical staff and support efforts to reduce payer denials. Offer timely and effective consultations to physicians, hospital staff, and coding specialists.
