Job Summary

The Breast Radiologist is a critical member of SimonMed Imaging’s subspecialty radiology team, focused on delivering high-quality diagnostic breast imaging and image-guided procedures. This role exists to support early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer and related conditions while providing an exceptional patient experience. The radiologist will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary breast care team and contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts.

Job Duties

Interpret screening and diagnostic 2D/3D mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI. Communicate diagnostic findings effectively with referring providers and patients when appropriate. Participate in multidisciplinary conferences, including tumor boards and case reviews. Contribute to protocol development and quality assurance in compliance with ACR and MQSA guidelines. Ensure timely report turnaround and high standards of patient care. Stay current with emerging technologies, AI tools, and best practices in breast imaging.

Education And Experience

MD or DO with completion of a radiology residency and fellowship in breast imaging or women’s imaging. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology (ABR or equivalent). Minimum 2 years of post-training experience preferred; recent fellowship graduates considered. Experience with high-volume outpatient or hybrid imaging settings preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Advanced proficiency in mammography, breast ultrasound, and MRI interpretation. Skilled in performing a range of breast biopsies and localizations. Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and voice recognition systems (experience with Philips and Inteal Rad preferred). Understanding of ACR, BI-RADS, and MQSA compliance standards. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and referring providers. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
