Emergency Medicine Residency Program Modesto/Manteca, California

In 2021, Kaiser Permanente Modesto launched our first ever Emergency medicine residency program in Northern California. We are currently seeking an Emergency Medicine Residency Program Director to lead our 3-year Residency Program comprised of eight residents per class for a total of 24 residents. The Program Director is a key departmental leader over seeing three assistant PDs, multiple fellowship trained faculty, and GME Program support staff.

Program Director Job Description

The Program Director must administer and maintain an educational environment conducive to educating residents/fellows in each of the ACGME competency areas and in conformance with KP NCAL policies and procedures.

Duties

Selected duties may be delegated to faculty or training program administrators; however, the Program Director is responsible to the Designated Institutional Official, the Graduate Medical Education Committee, and to the ACGME’s Residency Review Committee for the timely and accurate completion of all tasks and their quality. Qualifications And Responsibilities

MD or DO degree with board certification in Emergency Medicine At least five years as a core faculty member in an ACGME-accredited residency program Strong managerial skills Service orientation and commitment to teamwork Significant education leadership and scholarship experience

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with the ACGME cycle (three years as an APD, or one year as a PD) Education fellowship or advanced degree (MEd, MPH, etc.) Evidence of ongoing activity in scholarship, including peer-reviewed publications Possess or be eligible for a California medical license
