About the Role


The Medical Director is a core member of OncoHealth’s clinical leadership team, delivering expert medical oncology guidance across clinical operations, quality initiatives, and customer engagement. This role blends clinical acumen with strategic insight to shape how cancer care is evaluated and managed.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting clinical case reviews in collaboration with pharmacy, nursing, and medical oncology colleagues for both injectable and oral anti-cancer therapies Leading and participating in multidisciplinary discussions to support high-quality, evidence-based decisions Serving as a liaison with referring oncologists and hematologists to support transparent, collaborative care Assessing the comparative efficacy, toxicity, and cost-effectiveness of emerging and standard oncology treatments Driving quality improvement initiatives aimed at accuracy, efficiency, and adoption of new clinical evidence Supporting business development and client success by articulating OncoHealth’s clinical value to payers, providers, and other stakeholders Representing the "voice of the practicing oncologist" in strategic planning, product development, and innovation discussions Flexibility in work schedule: both part-time and full-time arrangements will be considered


About You


You are a clinically grounded, communicative leader who brings deep oncology expertise and a strong commitment to improving cancer care. You thrive in interdisciplinary environments and are excited to influence systems-level change.


Qualifications:

MD (or equivalent) with board certification in Medical Oncology Unrestricted U.S. medical license in good standing Experience in health plan utilization management, value-based oncology care, or clinical guideline development (preferred, but not required) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer service mindset A collaborative and adaptable working style

OncoHealth is committed to remote, hybrid or in office work options. The majority of the team will be remote or in hybrid work arrangements with offices in Atlanta, GA and Guaynabo, PR. We are open to employees nationwide but work primarily in the Eastern and Central Time Zones.

Our Current Solutions


Through the use of OncoHealth's utilization management system, OneUM, our customers can use a single e-Prior Authorization portal for all oncology drug request and treatments. Our system improves quality of care, reduces provider abrasion and gives health plans visibility into the total cost of oncology treatment.


OncoHealth offers Oncology Insights Pro, an analytic software solution that enables health plans to use data and analytics to improve oncology programs. Using real world data, our engineers normalize data to create analytic dashboards with drill down compatibilities. The data is the paired with expert guidance providing the strategies an insight needed to keep up with the continuing evolving cancer treatment landscape.
