As our Medical Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping OncoveryCare’s approach to cancer survivorship.You will also have an opportunity to help shape the future landscape of survivorship care through working closely with executive leadership on program delivery and patient experience. We are seeking an innovative, driven, and compassionate clinician who is excited about making a meaningful impact on the lives of cancer survivors and helping to build the future model for survivorship care. This is a 100% remote, part-time or full-time role.
Preference will be given to candidates who reside in and are licensed to practice in New York.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the clinical team in our markets, fostering collaboration and driving clinical performance to deliver best-in-class survivorship care Provide comprehensive oversight, day-to-day management, and training to our Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), guiding them in conducting intake assessments, delivering care, and administering survivorship care plans Be accountable for managing key market KPIs and clinical outcomes for our patients Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, including oncologists, to establish collaborative relationships and effective referral pathways for OncoveryCares’ patients Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical team, and partners to develop novel clinical programs and provide input on clinical strategy Deliver evidence-based patient care for cancer survivors, ensuring a compassionate and patient-centric approach Apply a continual quality improvement mindset to identify opportunities for enhancing our care model, processes, tools, and offerings Stay abreast of advancements in cancer survivorship care, actively engaging in CME certifications to maintain current knowledge and expertiseWe prioritize equipping our clinicians with the necessary tools and resources to deliver exceptional patient care. To support this, our care team is supported by a robust clinical operations team that assists with admin and billing, custom tools to streamline care delivery and documentation, and consultation from clinical leadership. Additionally, you will have access to vetted referral partners and community resources to facilitate seamless transitions of care for your patients.
How You Will Thrive:
Within the first 90 days, you will onboard with the clinical team, engage with executive leadership, and connect with providers focused on cancer survivorship. You’ll quickly familiarize yourself with OncoveryCare’s philosophy, technology, and integrated care approach, while contributing to care model development. Within the first year, you’ll have a role leading the care team, refining our care model, and achieving clinical outcomes. You’ll also build strong relationships with leadership, clinicians, patients, and partners, driving continuous improvement and innovation based on feedback. What You Will Need:
3+ years of clinical experience in primary care or oncology, preferably with some experience delivering care to cancer survivors M.D. or D.O. degree Clinical training from an accredited training program in internal medicine, family medicine, or oncology Active medical license and willingness to obtain license in states where OncoveryCare has clinical operations Excellent communication, empathy, and active listening skills Ability to independently drive work forward and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
