Work remotely with a leading AI lab applying medical expertise to evaluate, refine, and stress-test AI systems by creating diagnostic cases and scoring rubrics. The role requires a U.S.-based practicing MD with at least 2 years of medical experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work asynchronously 20-40 hours per week.

Mercor is seeking Lab Doctors (MDs) for project with one of the world’s top AI labs. You will work closely with research teams at a leading AI lab, applying your medical expertise to help evaluate, refine, and stress-test AI systems in a professional, structured environment. As part of this work, you will create both the diagnostic cases and the rubric to score a good response to the diagnostic case.
You are a strong fit if you:
Are a U.S.-based practicing MD with a degree from a top U.S. university.
Have a minimum of 2+ years of medical experience.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking.
Are comfortable working in a fully remote and asynchronous environment.
Have interest in advancing AI applications in medicine and healthcare.
