Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Primary Care Physician to join a collegial practice in New London, CT, with a four-day work week and shared weekend phone call responsibilities. The position offers a $290K+ guaranteed base salary, sign-on bonus, wRVU production bonuses, and full benefits. This role involves outpatient primary care with an EMR system using EPIC and leadership/academic opportunities through Yale University School of Medicine affiliation.
Key Responsibilities
- • Evaluate patients, and treat acute and chronic illnesses
- • Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic tests
- • Involves patients and their families in care and treatment decisions
- • Creates treatment plans and completes orders in patient's charts
- • Collaborates on improvements in care delivery and service with staff, other physicians and management
- • Initiates appropriate specialty referrals
- • Provides clinical information to the interdisciplinary team in a clear and timely manner
- • Ensures that proper patient documentation is timely, accurate and complete
- • Works with practice management to ensure proper compliance with billing, coding and CPT code assignment
- • Achieves and maintains optimal patient access
- • Provides interdepartmental medical consultation as requested

Required
- • Degree of MD or DO with ABIM-recognized internal medicine residency (three years minimum) or ABFM-recognized family medicine residency (three years minimum)
- • Valid American Board certification in either internal medicine or family medicine and renewed (if needed) prior to expiration
- • Valid and unrestricted New York medical license
- • BLS certification
- • Valid DEA registration and Controlled Substance Certificate (or in the process of obtaining)
