Inpatient Gastroenterologist - Lynchburg VA

At Centra Medical Group, we are looking for a BE/BC Gastroenterologist for a hospital-based position at Lynchburg General Hospital in beautiful Lynchburg, VA. Our long-term, solid relationship with the local independent Gastroenterology group (Gastroenterology Associates of Central VA) ensures a supportive and collegial environment where the patient always comes first, giving you the confidence to focus on your work.

Lynchburg General Hospital is a level II trauma center with 360 beds that serves emergency and critical care services to more than 85k patients annually. Cases at LGH include cardiac, thoracic, neuro, cath lab, ortho, general, and trauma. Our cardiac center within the hospital is a national benchmark facility for cardiac care. Acute care surgeons, hospitalists, and interventional radiologists provide 24/7 hospital coverage.

You Can Expect

• Inpatient consultations and procedures
• Average 10 – 15 consults daily
• APP support for inpatient consults
• Monday – Friday schedule, 6 – 8 weeks vacation
• Call 1:9, shared with local independent Gastroenterology group
• Time off covered by local Gastroenterology group
• Consult service only; the hospitalist takes all admissions
• Ability to do outpatient procedures
  
  

Key Requirements

• Valid, unrestricted medical license
• ACGME accredited residency
• BE/BC
• ERCP training is preferred
