Head Of US Medical Affairs

Lead the US medical affairs function for a first-in-class retinal disease therapy, driving strategy and operational execution for the US commercial launch. Build and manage a national KOL and retina specialist network, develop medical information and scientific content, and support field medical activities and scientific engagement. Act as the US medical point person across cross-functional launch teams, ensuring compliant engagement with external experts and medical communities.

  • Represent the company at key ophthalmology congresses (AAO, ASRS, ARVO, etc.)
  • Lead US advisory boards, symposia, and scientific engagement initiatives
  • Support publication strategy and external communication
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, Clinical, Regulatory & Market Access
Required
  • MD, PharmD, PhD or equivalent scientific background
  • 8–15+ years in Medical Affairs within biotech/pharma
  • Strong experience in ophthalmology, retina, or adjacent specialties
  • A track record building or expanding KOL networks
  • Experience preparing for or supporting a US product launch
  • Comfort operating in a lean, high-accountability biotech environment
  • Ability to travel regularly for KOL engagement & conferences
