Physician - Cardiac Electrophysiologist - Kennestone Hospital (Float)

The Cardiac Electrophysiologist will perform a full range of electrophysiology procedures including device implantation and complex ablations, working within a multidisciplinary cardiovascular team. The role involves patient consultations, collaboration with cardiology and cardiovascular surgery colleagues, and participation in quality improvement and clinical program development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electrophysiology consultations and procedures, including pacemaker and ICD implantation, SVT/VT/VF ablations, and atrial fibrillation ablations.
  • Collaborate with cardiology and cardiovascular surgery colleagues to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Interpret and manage device interrogations and remote monitoring data.
  • Participate in shared call responsibilities.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical program development.
  • Provide education and support to medical staff and allied health professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EPIC).
Required
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of accredited Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Cardiac Electrophysiology training programs.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
  • Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in the state of Georgia.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development.

Position Overview

Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a full-time Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join our established, collaborative, and growing team at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA. The ideal candidate will be board certified/board eligible in Cardiology and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, and skilled in the full spectrum of electrophysiology procedures including device implantation and complex ablations.

This is an outstanding opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary cardiovascular team that includes general cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, advanced heart failure specialists, and cardiovascular surgeons.
