Hospitalist

This role involves providing comprehensive care from admission to discharge for all patients referred to the hospital medicine service, including performing H&P for most Behavioral Health admissions with follow-up as needed. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care from admission to discharge for all patients referred to the service
  • Perform the H&P for most admissions to Behavioral Health, with follow-up on a prn basis
  • Work 23 weeks per year, seven 12 hour shifts on followed by seven days off
  • Participate in a hospitalist schedule with 7 hospitalists covering 7a-7p, 1 non-rounding Medical Officer of the Day 7a-7p, and 2 staggered night shifts 5p-5a and 7p-7a
  • Primary responsibility to hospital with Level II trauma center in Eau Claire, WI
Required
  • Must have M.D., D.O., or foreign degree equivalent
  • Must be eligible for Wisconsin medical license
  • Board Certification/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or in the final year of ACGME accredited program leading to certification
Preferred
  • Open to considering nocturnist-only position which would receive a 10% reduction from the annual shift requirement

Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, Wisconsin is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Hospital Medicine physician to join an established department. This physician will provide comprehensive care from admission to discharge for all patients referred to the service. The Hospitalists perform the H&P for most admissions to Behavioral Health, with follow-up on a prn basis. You may expect a busy practice in a physician led financially stable organization, committed to both high quality patient care and patient satisfaction.
