Hospitalist
This role involves providing comprehensive care from admission to discharge for all patients referred to the hospital medicine service, including performing H&P for most Behavioral Health admissions with follow-up as needed. Key Responsibilities
- • Provide comprehensive care from admission to discharge for all patients referred to the service
- • Perform the H&P for most admissions to Behavioral Health, with follow-up on a prn basis
- • Work 23 weeks per year, seven 12 hour shifts on followed by seven days off
- • Participate in a hospitalist schedule with 7 hospitalists covering 7a-7p, 1 non-rounding Medical Officer of the Day 7a-7p, and 2 staggered night shifts 5p-5a and 7p-7a
- • Primary responsibility to hospital with Level II trauma center in Eau Claire, WI
Required
- • Must have M.D., D.O., or foreign degree equivalent
- • Must be eligible for Wisconsin medical license
- • Board Certification/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or in the final year of ACGME accredited program leading to certification
Preferred
- • Open to considering nocturnist-only position which would receive a 10% reduction from the annual shift requirement
