Lead a team of 4 interventional radiologists at a 716-bed academic medical center and Level I Trauma Center. Manage and grow a division offering a broad spectrum of interventional services including angiography, arterial and venous interventions, UFE, vertebral augmentation, TIPS, venous access, and an active oncology program. Balance clinical care with teaching responsibilities for residents and medical students, supported by a faculty appointment at the University of Massachusetts Medical School-Baystate.
Key Responsibilities
- • Lead our well-established, collegial team of 4 interventional radiologists practicing at our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, in Springfield, MA.
- • Facilitate growth and development within our division which currently consists of a broad spectrum of interventional services including angiography, arterial and venous interventions, UFE, vertebral augmentation, TIPS, venous access, and an active oncology program with RF ablation, cryoablation, Y-90 and chemoembolization.
- • Mix of inpatient and outpatient services, scheduled clinical time for pre and post op patients located on the main campus.
- • Enjoy a combination of clinical care and resident and medical student teaching with faculty appointment to the University of Massachusetts Medical School-Baystate.
Required
- • ABMS BC in Interventional Radiology.
- • 5+ years’ experience with evidence of progressive management responsibilities and leadership in an academic department.
- • Demonstrable record of collaboration, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enthusiasm for medical education and mentoring faculty and ability to engage a broad base of potential stakeholders to work towards a shared vision.
