Job Summary

The Department of Medicine at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor (HS) / Electrophysiology Cardiologist. The successful candidate will:

• Perform electrophysiology procedures, ablations, cardioversions.
• Implant pacemakers, ICDs, loop recorders.
• Interpret Tilt Table tests.
• Assist with Pacemaker follow-up service.
• Provide patient care on the Cardiology/EP Service, admission and care of patients admitted to the Cardiology/EP Service.
• Provide medical care, including cardiac treatment, to patients.
• Provide medical care, including clinical cardiac consultation.
• Cover calls on nights, weekends and holidays.
• Participate in a medical resident and cardiology fellowship education.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Medical Doctor Degree.
• New York State Medical Licensure.
• Board-certified or eligible in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
• Proficiency in bedside cardiac procedures.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS.
