Gastroenterology Hospitalist | Inpatient GI Practice | DeLand and Orange City
The role involves providing inpatient GI consults as a GI Hospitalist or delivering outpatient gastroenterology care with minimal to no hospital call. The position offers access to endoscopy procedures and multidisciplinary care within a supportive network, with options to work at AdventHealth Fish Memorial or AdventHealth DeLand.
Key Responsibilities
- • Cover inpatient GI consults from the floor and emergency department at a primary campus (either AdventHealth Fish Memorial or AdventHealth DeLand)
- • Potential cross coverage at AdventHealth DeLand
- • Perform endoscopy procedures with access to ECPR and EUS
- • Provide outpatient gastroenterology care with dedicated endoscopy time
- • Manage minimal practice call with minimal to no hospital call
- • Work 7 on/7 off schedule with 182 shifts/year for hospitalist role
- • Collaborate within the Digestive Health Institute providing multidisciplinary care
- • Utilize EPIC EMR System in clinic and hospital

GI Hospitalist Overview
- Starting Salary at $700,000 with signing bonus and relocation!! NO STATE INCOME TAX
- The GI Hospitalist would have an option for a primary campus to cover at either AdventHealth Fish Memorial or AdventHealth DeLand to cover inpatient GI consults from the floor and emergency department.
- Position would cover one or the other, not intended to cover between both locations
- Could also cross cover at AdventHealth DeLand just down the road
- Ready access to endoscopy for procedures and should be comfortable with all aspects of Gastroenterology, capability for ECPR and EUS are available
- Our network is aligned with our Digestive Health Institute providing multidisciplinary care to patients across the spectrum of digestive disease.
- 7 on/7 off; 182 shifts/year - APP support will also be provided in the hospital setting
- Competitive Base salary and Bonus structure - $700,000 plus
- Only responsible for minimal practice call - Minimal to NO Hospital call
- Dedicated endoscopy time
- Full support staff in the clinic, EPIC EMR System both in clinic and hospital
