Intern - Global HEOR

The Global HEOR/RWE Intern will gain knowledge and proficiency in Health Economics and Outcomes Research and Real World Evidence generation within the biopharmaceutical industry. The role involves supporting and designing HEOR and RWE studies, assisting internal teams, and contributing to projects that may lead to publications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working with GHEOR researchers on typical HEOR & RWE studies within the Biopharmaceutical industry aligned with commercial and clinical stakeholders within the company
  • Supporting current projects and learn to design, manage, and report on those and new studies
  • Assisting internal teams (e.g., marketing, managed markets, market access, medical affairs, clinical development) to support HEOR/RWE research, and pharmacoeconomic initiatives
  • Supporting HEOR and RWE projects that may lead to abstracts/manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications
  • Position will have a hybrid schedule & will require onsite presence in Research Triangle Park, NC
Required
  • Candidate must be currently enrolled a graduate program (PharmD, MD, PhD, MPH, or related life sciences field).
  • Candidate must currently have GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze scientific data and interpret medical literature.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Purpose & Responsibilities Of Position

The summer, Global HEOR/RWE Intern will gain knowledge of and proficiency in Global Health Economics and Outcomes Research and Real World Evidence generation in the biopharmaceutical arena. At the end of the internship, the company will evaluate the success of the employee and provide clear feedback for continuation/improvement of the program as well as fine tuning the program to the employees goals and ambitions. At the conclusion of the program the employee will gain a broad understanding of the biopharmaceutical industry and the work conducted by a GHEOR/RWE team to support the needs within a typical biopharmaceutical company. Successful interns could be eligible to be hired into the Global HEOR/RWE team or go on to be considered for the GHEOR/RWE fellowship.

During this summer internship, the daily activities of the Intern will include:
