Key Responsibilities
- • Shape the care of children and adolescents with endocrine disorders
- • Collaborate with experienced pediatric subspecialists
- • Provide consultative inpatient coverage
- • Work alongside on-site certified diabetes educators, clinical dieticians, and clinical pharmacists
- • Utilize a newly renovated, state-of-the-art clinic equipped for advanced endocrine and diabetes care
- • Access and contribute to an ADA-recognized diabetes education program with dedicated RN and RD educators
- • Serve a built-in referral base as a member of the region’s leading group for primary care providers
- • Receive extended support from pediatric specialists at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health
- • Participate in academic appointment and teaching opportunities through the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford
Required
- • MD or DO
- • Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
- • Active Illinois medical license
- • Board Certification or Board Eligible in Endocrinology with board certification obtained within 5 years
Preferred
- • Bi-annual CPR certification

UW Health in northern Illinois seeks a BE/BC pediatric endocrinologist to join our specialized team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the care of children and adolescents with endocrine disorders while working alongside dedicated colleagues in a community-based outpatient practice with consultative inpatient coverage.
Your practice includes the following:
- Collaboration with experienced pediatric subspecialists and access to UW Health resources.
- On-site certified diabetes educators, clinical dieticians, and clinical pharmacists with expertise in pediatric care.
- A newly renovated, state-of-the-art clinic equipped for advanced endocrine and diabetes care.
- Access to an ADA-recognized diabetes education program with dedicated RN and RD educators.
- Built-in referral base as member of the region’s leading group for primary care providers
- Extended support from pediatric specialists at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, WI.
- Academic appointment and teaching opportunities available through the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford.
