NI-Physician, Gastroenterology: Adults - Outpatient
This role involves shaping and growing a dynamic digestive health program to meet the needs of a rapidly expanding community. The position includes collaboration with a multidisciplinary cancer team, access to quaternary support and clinical trials, and local teaching opportunities with GI residents, fellows, and medical students.
Key Responsibilities
- • Opportunity to shape and grow a dynamic digestive health program to support a rapidly expanding community need.
- • Quaternary support from UW Health’s University Hospital in Madison, WI, with access to weekly tumor boards and clinical trials.
- • Collaboration with a robust primary care network of 140 providers, ensuring a strong referral base and continuity of care.
- • Work alongside a comprehensive interdisciplinary cancer team at the UW Health | Carbone Cancer Center Rockford, which holds over 70% of the local market share.
- • Local teaching opportunities involving rotating GI residents, fellows, and medical students.
- • Use state-of-the-art facilities equipped with the latest diagnostic and therapeutic technologies.
- • Utilize EPIC EMR for streamlined patient care coordination.
Required
- • MD or DO
- • Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
- • Active Illinois medical license
- • Board Certification or Board Eligible in Endocrinology. Board certification must be obtained within 5 years
