Baylor College of Medicine
The Staff Psychiatrist will be responsible for evaluating and managing assigned patients, coordinating and monitoring utilization management, planning and coordinating patient transitions through the continuum of care, and maintaining communication with required agencies and individuals throughout treatment. Services may be delivered individually or within an interdisciplinary team setting, working alongside trainees in psychiatry, psychology, social work, mental health counseling, and nursing.

Required
- • Must have an MD or DO degree with completion of an approved residency in general psychiatry
- • Board-certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or pass the examination for board certification in psychiatry within three years of graduation from residency
- • Current CPR certification
Preferred
- • Current license to practice medicine in Texas

The Staff Psychiatrist will be able to work alongside trainees in psychiatry, psychology, social work, mental health counselors, and nursing.
Minimum Qualifications
Must have an MD or DO degree with completion of an approved residency in general psychiatry; board-certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or pass the examination for board certification in psychiatry within three years of graduation from residency and current CPR certification.
Preferred: Current license to practice medicine in Texas.
