The faculty member will provide diagnostic evaluations and management of children and adolescents with developmental, language, learning, social skills, attention, or school adjustment problems. They will work as part of an interdisciplinary clinical team and coordinate with various specialists to ensure comprehensive evaluations and recommendations. Responsibilities also include direct patient care and teaching medical trainees.
Key Responsibilities
- • Provide diagnostic evaluations and management of children and adolescents with developmental, language, learning, social skills, attention, or school adjustment problems
- • Participate in an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary clinical team
- • Coordinate with speech and language pathologists, neuropsychologists, behavioral psychologists, child psychiatrists, neurogeneticists, genetic counselors, and social workers
- • Ensure each patient receives an individualized and comprehensive evaluation and recommendations for appropriate monitoring and treatment
- • Provide direct patient care
- • Teach medical trainees

Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician
The Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, MD is searching for a board eligible and/or certified Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician as faculty in the Center for Development and Learning. The Center for Development and Learning provides diagnostic evaluations and management of children and adolescents who have problems in development, language, learning, social skills, attention, or school adjustment. The faculty member will participate in an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary clinical team of professionals that drive the clinical, training, and research missions of the Center. Responsibilities, in addition to direct patient care and teaching medical trainees, are coordination with other disciplines at Kennedy Krieger Institute, including speech and language pathologists, neuropsychologists, behavioral psychologists, child psychiatrists, neurogeneticists, genetic counselors, and social workers to ensure that each patient receives an individualized and comprehensive evaluation and recommendations for appropriate monitoring and treatment.
Qualified applicants will be eligible for faculty appointment at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine as an Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or full Professor, depending upon qualifications.

In compliance with the Maryland Pay Transparency act, Kennedy Krieger includes the wage range for all posted jobs. These ranges are based upon the American Academy of Medical Colleges (AAMC) scales and represent a good faith estimate of the base wage range at the time of posting. For this position, the annual wage range is $158,236 to $282,919. The actual wage will be influenced by factors such as faculty appointments, credentials, research experience, and specific expertise. This wage range does not include bonuses, incentives, differential pay, or other forms of compensation which may be eligible for this position.
