Key Responsibilities
- • Diagnose and treat a wide range of cancer conditions using evidence-based standards of care.
- • Create and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's medical and emotional needs.

- • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in medical oncology and apply best practices.
- • Demonstrate personal reliability and efficiency in managing patient care responsibilities.
- • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and administrative staff to deliver coordinated, comprehensive care.
- • Participate in tumor boards, case reviews, and care planning discussions.
- • Maintain respectful, supportive relationships with colleagues and contribute to a positive work culture.
- • Share professional insights in a constructive and collegial manner; resolve conflicts respectfully.
- • Represent CCSF in the community through patient and physician outreach.
- • Build and maintain positive relationships with local healthcare providers, business leaders, and civic organizations.
- • Participate in CCSF initiatives that strengthen visibility and trust in the community.
- • Deliver care that is aligned with CCSF’s quality standards and value-based outcomes.
- • Maintain positive, professional relationships with payors and contribute to favorable performance data.
- • Avoid disputes or negative feedback by ensuring accurate documentation and strong care coordination.
- • Attend scientific meetings, professional conferences, and continuing medical education activities.
- • Participate in clinical research, quality improvement projects, and protocol development.
- • Publish or present findings, where appropriate, and contribute to advancing the field of oncology.
- • Take on leadership roles in professional, civic, or charitable organizations when possible.
- • Assume medically integrated dispensing supervision responsibilities in the absence of the physician in charge.
- • Research and administrative responsibilities and the associated time commitments are specified and outlined in the employment agreement.
- • Take initiative in solving clinical, operational, or organizational challenges.
- • Actively contributes to improving internal workflows, patient experience, and staff collaboration.
- • Engage in committee work, quality reviews, or special projects that enhance CCSF’s operations.
- • Comply with all federal and state healthcare laws, including HIPAA, FCA, AKS, and the Stark Law.
- • Follow CCSF’s internal policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.
- • Maintain a valid, unrestricted medical license and promote a culture of compliance and accountability.
Required
- • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- • Completion of residency in internal medicine or a related field.
- • Fellowship training in hematology or oncology.
- • Board certification in hematology or oncology.
- • Must possess and maintain an active, unrestricted Florida Medical License issued by the Florida Board of Medicine.
- • Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Medical Oncology or Hematology required
- • Valid DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) registration for prescribing controlled substances.
- • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- • Knowledge of oncology, hematology, diagnostics and evidence-based protocols
- • Strong critical thinking and decision-making in complex medical situations.
- • Ability to clearly communicate with patients, families, and care teams.
- • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment meanwhile promoting collegiality and mutual respect.
- • Ability to manage time and have a high attention to detail.
