This role involves leading the launch of a new hematology/oncology practice at the Manatee HealthHub outpatient facility, with the goal of building early patient volume and establishing a foundation for a future comprehensive cancer program. The physician will cultivate referral relationships, connect with patients at the start of their treatment journey, and build a patient panel requiring chemotherapy and infusion services.
Key Responsibilities

- • Establish hematology/oncology services before the hospital opens to cultivate referral relationships and connect with patients at the start of their treatment journey
- • Build a patient panel requiring chemotherapy and infusion services
- • Direct infusion volumes to St. Joseph's Hospital-South until the hospital opens
Required
- • Board Certification / Board Eligibility by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Hematology
- • Ability to obtain a Florida medical license

- We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hematology/Oncology Physician to lead the launch of a new practice with the goal to build early volume, and lay the foundation for a future cancer program that is competitive and comprehensive.
- Establishing hematology/oncology services before the hospital opens allows us to begin cultivating referral relationships, connect with patients at the start of their treatment journey, and grow brand recognition in a specialty where trust and continuity are critical. This early footprint will be critical to ensuring a strong patient base is in place by the time the hospital opens.
- In addition to clinic visits, the hematologist/oncologist will begin to build a patient panel requiring chemotherapy and infusion services. Until the hospital opens, infusion volumes will be directed to St. Joseph's Hospital-South.
- The Manatee Health-Hub facility will house primary care and specialty services, in addition to ancillary lab and imaging services including 3T MRI, X-ray, CT, PET CT, mammography, DEXA and ultrasound.
- Board Certification / Board Eligibility by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Hematology.
- The ability to obtain a Florida medical license.
