The role involves developing a research program focused on understanding the molecular basis of disease, with expertise areas including genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, metabolism, developmental biology, neuroscience, gene expression regulation, and protein structure/function. The position also requires contributing to teaching and training in metabolism and/or bioinformatic approaches, maintaining an extramurally funded research program, and participating in departmental administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities

Required
- • Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree in a relevant field.
- • Strong record of research success as demonstrated by an impactful publication record.
- • Clear vision of future work.
Preferred
- • Expertise in genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, metabolism, developmental biology, neuroscience, regulation of gene expression, and protein structure/function.
- • Ability to contribute to teaching and training in metabolism and/or bioinformatic approaches.

Candidates should have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree in a relevant field and have a strong record of research success as demonstrated by an impactful publication record and a clear vision of future work. The hired individual will be expected to maintain an extramurally funded and productive research program, participate in the teaching of undergraduate, graduate, and professional students, and contribute to the various administrative responsibilities of the department.
