Section Chief of Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology

The Section Chief will develop and execute the clinical, academic, and educational vision for Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology. This role involves managing faculty schedules and clinical operations to ensure high-quality patient care, promoting research productivity, fostering education, and overseeing faculty development. The position requires collaboration with leadership to advance clinical innovation, research, and educational excellence.

  • Manage faculty schedules and clinical operations, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Promote a productive and collaborative research environment, supporting faculty achievement and interdisciplinary initiatives.
  • Cultivate a thriving learning culture for trainees and faculty, enhancing mentorship, teaching, and professional growth.
  • Oversee evaluations, recruitment, and development.
  • Partner with leadership across the Division and Institution to advance clinical innovation, research, and educational excellence.
Required
  • M.D. or D.O. with board certification in Cardiovascular Medicine and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology.
  • Eligibility for Michigan medical licensure.
  • Distinguished record of clinical and teaching achievement and scholarly productivity.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in mentorship, education, and faculty development.
  • Commitment to fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Background Screening
