Ophthalmic Hospitalist Consultant
This role involves providing high-quality inpatient and emergency ophthalmic care at a tertiary referral center, focusing on acute and urgent ophthalmology consultations. Key Responsibilities
- • Provide inpatient and emergency ophthalmology consultations for a variety of acute and urgent conditions.
- • Perform minor ophthalmic procedures at the bedside or in clinic, as appropriate.
- • Evaluate and manage ocular emergencies, including open globe assessments.
- • Collaborate with Emergency Medicine and other ophthalmology specialists to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
- • Participate in initiatives that enhance clinical quality, patient safety, and education.
Required
- • MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology.
- • Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Arizona.
