Ophthalmic Hospitalist Consultant

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide inpatient and emergency ophthalmology consultations for a variety of acute and urgent conditions.
  • Perform minor ophthalmic procedures at the bedside or in clinic, as appropriate.
  • Evaluate and manage ocular emergencies, including open globe assessments.
  • Collaborate with Emergency Medicine and other ophthalmology specialists to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
  • Participate in initiatives that enhance clinical quality, patient safety, and education.
Required
  • MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology.
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Arizona.

The Department of Ophthalmology at Mayo Clinic Arizona invites applications for an Ophthalmologist to join our team as an Ophthalmic Hospitalist Consultant.
