This role involves providing comprehensive surgical care for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular conditions with significant operative responsibilities. The position includes teaching cardiothoracic fellows, residents, and medical students, participating in research and quality improvement projects, and contributing to departmental and academic activities.
Key Responsibilities
- • Provide comprehensive surgical care for cardiac, thoracic, and/or vascular conditions, including operating room responsibilities (often 3-4 days/week), rounding on inpatients, and managing outpatients in clinic settings.
- • Supervise and teach cardiothoracic fellows, residents, and medical students in both clinical and surgical arenas.
- • Participate in research, quality improvement projects, scholarly work, and publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
- • Participate in regular call schedules, often covering nights and weekends.
- • Participate in departmental meetings, faculty forums, and, if applicable, regional/national academic conferences.

- • Board Certified/Board Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon
