Hospital Medicine Physician

The role involves collaborating with a dynamic team of 16 physicians to provide high-quality hospitalist care, including rounds, admissions, discharges, and teaching residents. The hospitalist team participates in rapid response and code teams, supports multidisciplinary rounds, and utilizes Cerner with Dragon and an internal informatics platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform rounds, admissions, and discharges as well as multidisciplinary rounds, table rounds, and teach Einstein Montgomery family medicine, internal medicine, and transitional year residents.
  • Participate in rapid response and code team; supervise residents managing rapid responses and codes until intensivist arrives.
  • Attend monthly team meetings to relay key information from administration, discuss group operations, and provide general feedback.
  • Use Cerner with Dragon and access internal informatics platform.
  • Work within a hospital with a closed ICU where procedures are performed by intensivist team and interventional radiology.

  • Board-certified internal medicine or family medicine physician
  • Academic experience required

  • Board-certified internal medicine or family medicine physician
  • Academic experience required
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Scheduling

  • If full-time, your schedule will be 7 days on and 7 days off.
  • The hours are 7 am to 7 pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • The hospital has a closed ICU with Sound Physicians’ intensivists24/7.All procedures are performed by the intensivist team and interventional radiology.
  • We perform rounds, admissions, and discharges as well as multidisciplinary rounds, table rounds, and teach Einstein Montgomery family medicine, internal medicine, and transitional year residents. When possible, we do geographic rounding.
  • Our hospitalist team is part of the rapid response and code team, and we’re all certified in basic life support and advanced cardiovascular life support. The residents will manage rapid responses and codes with your supervision until the intensivist arrives.
  • Our team meets monthly to relay key information from administration, discuss group operations, and for general feedback.
  • We are entertaining candidates looking for full-time, part-time, and PRN shifts.
  • We use Cerner with Dragon and have access to our own internal informatics platform.
