Emergency Medicine Physician
Physicians provide emergency care at North Central Baptist Hospital, a facility with separate adult and pediatric emergency departments, accredited chest pain and stroke centers, and a Level III trauma designation. The role involves working 8-hour shifts with APP support, managing an ED volume of 22,000 patients annually, and utilizing Cerner EMR in a setting where NPs and PAs practice independently.
Key Responsibilities
- • Work 8-hour Physician shifts with APP support
- • Provide emergency care in a Level III trauma designated emergency department
- • Manage patient care in an ED with 22,000 annual volume and 22 beds
- • Use Cerner EMR for patient documentation and management
- • Collaborate with NPs and PAs who practice independently in the ED
- • Utilize a simple 'one call' system for admissions and transfers
Required
- • Board Certified/Board Prepared in emergency medicine preferred
