The Cardiologist will provide non-invasive, general cardiology care including outpatient clinic services, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, planning follow-ups, and educating patients on preventative care and medication use. The role also includes opportunities for inpatient consultation and stress testing during normal practice hours.
Key Responsibilities
- • Non-invasive, general Cardiology
- • Participate in the care for patients in an outpatient clinic in conjunction with physicians
- • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests
- • Plan and coordinate follow-up with patients
- • Provide routine diagnostic, therapeutic and preventative care
- • Educate patients about preventative care, medical issues and use of prescribed medications
- • Opportunity for inpatient consultation and stress testing during normal practice hours
Required
- • Medical School Graduate (MD/DO)
- • Board certified
- • Graduation from an accredited school of medicine and completion of a ACGME certified fellowship program
- • Board Certified in Specialty
- • DEA; MD
- • ACLS
- • Should be able to communicate proficiently in English
- • NC medical license, DEA License, BLS/ACLS certification required
- • Board certification in critical care medicine
Preferred
- • NC State License preferred
- • FCVS profile preferred for those without NC license but not required
- • Prefer prior experience in Cardiology

- Language Skills: Should be able to communicate proficiently in English. Reasoning Ability: high-level quantitative and qualitative reasoning skills required to diagnose and treat patients. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: NC medical license, DEA License, BLS/ACLS certification required. Board certification in critical care medicine.
