Southeast Primary Care Partners
Primary care physicians are expected to treat a wide range of medical conditions, develop long-term personal relationships with patients, and produce individualized healthcare programs based on patient historical data. The role involves educating patients in health management and disease prevention, supporting evidence-based practice guidelines, supervising physician assistants/nurse practitioners, and collaborating with healthcare team members to promote continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities
- • Treat a wide range of medical conditions
- • Develop long-term, personal relationships with patients
- • Produce individualized healthcare programs based on patient historical data
- • Offer continuous support and health management advice
- • No Obstetrics
- • Clinic Hours are Monday – Friday 7:30-5
- • After hours call service
- • See 18 – 22 patients per day (pending complexity)
- • Utilize laboratory services on-site
- • Use state-of-the-art technology with integrated EMR and electronic prescribing
- • No admitting; No nights
- • Remain in compliance with all rules and regulations set by Georgia Composite Board based on the Georgia Medical Practice Act
- • Educate patients in health management and disease prevention
- • Support the development and implementation of evidence-based practice guidelines
- • Provide appropriate patient education
- • Assume responsibility for day-to-day supervision of physician assistants/nurse practitioners
- • Participate in medical staff peer review process, performance improvement, continuing education, risk management and Clinical Indicator selection
- • Assist clinical personnel in their evaluation of phone calls and determining appropriate disposition when appropriate
- • Utilize EMR Allscripts/Veradigm to document in the Health Record
- • Promote continuity of patient care by interacting and collaborating with other members of the healthcare team
Required
- • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) required; current State of Georgia License in good standing
- • Board certification in Family Practice or Internal Medicine required
- • Current Georgia Medical License required
- • Valid DEA required
- • Completion of a family practice/internal medicine residency
- • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required
- • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- • Caring, attentive nature
- • Possess a working understanding and support of a managed care environment
- • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and maintain relationships with various health plans

- • Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency preferred
