Although there are CRNA's in the practice, you will mostly do cases solo and not supervise. There is no resident supervision for per diems.
We have enjoyed great growth recently as our flagship hospital, The San Diego Medical Center (SDMC), was opened in 2017, and another major medical center in San Marcos began operation in August of 2023. There are 6 operating sites: 3 hospitals and 3 outpatient centers. Expect travel between Otay and San Marcos, so living centrally is an advantage.
