Neurologist

Perform physical and neurological examinations of patients with neurological disorders, order diagnostic tests, diagnose conditions based on exams and test results, and consult with patients on aftercare and long-term health management. Communicate treatment plans and collaborate with other neurologists, nurses, and medical staff to ensure optimal patient care. Stay current with trends and developments in neurology through training and seminars.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform physical and neurological examination of patients who are suffering from neurological disorders.
  • Order diagnostic tests such as blood tests, spinal fluid tests, and imaging tests such as MRIs.
  • Diagnose conditions and disorders based on physical and cognitive exams, and test results.
  • Consult with patients on aftercare and long-term health management strategies.
  • Communicate treatment plans and home care instructions to patients.
  • Will communicate with the other neurologist on staff, obtain and give timely sign out of existing neurology patient being followed on the service.
  • Communicate with nurses and other medical staff to ensure patients receive best possible care.
  • Attend training and seminars to stay up to date on the latest trends and developments in neurology.
  • Maintain current knowledge of trends in area of expertise.
Required
  • Doctoral Degree
  • 1-3 years of experience
  • Licensed Physician in the state of IL

Position Requirements

Doctoral Degree

1-3 years of experience

Licensed Physician in the state of IL
