Pediatric Physician- Brighton Park North

Provides primary medical care services to pediatric patients in an outpatient setting using primary care concepts, emphasizing prevention of illness and promotion of healthy lifestyles. Manages ambulatory pediatric primary care practice including patient histories, physical exams, diagnoses, treatments, and patient education while adhering to productivity standards and participating in quality improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manages ambulatory Pediatric primary care medical practice by eliciting patient histories, performing physical examinations, providing accurate clinical diagnoses, prescribing evidence based and cost-effective treatments and providing patient education.
  • Adheres to Esperanza Health Center's Productivity Standard for Physicians of an average of at least 2.7 patient visits per hour of ambulatory time worked.
  • Maintains and promotes patient satisfaction through acknowledgement that environmental, social, and cultural factors influence one's health.
  • Participates in Quality Improvement activities of the health center including complete, legible and accurate chart documentation, Peer Review chart audits and reviews, and designated projects.
  • Practices evidence-based, cost-effective primary care in a team-based model.
  • Makes appropriate diagnoses and prescribes appropriate prescriptions and referrals consistent with Esperanza Health Center's medical practice guidelines.
  • Prepares, implements and documents age specific preventative health schedules for pediatric patients.
  • Builds and maintains a Pediatric medical practice with follow-up of return appointments and referrals, and other methods that assure continuity of care.
  • Maintains clinical competency through regular Continuing Medical Education and provides documentation of such to Esperanza Health Center's Administration upon request.
  • Takes call for Esperanza Health Center patients as assigned by the Medical Director.
Required
  • Graduate of an Accredited Medical School.
  • Completed an Accredited Post-Graduate Training Program in Pediatrics.
  • Board Certified or Eligible in Pediatrics.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish, required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

Compensation (Based on experience) $163,800 - $204,700

Primary Duties And Responsibilities
