Emergency Medicine Physician

This role involves providing emergency care at both a 273-bed community hospital and a 10-bed freestanding emergency department, with significant patient volumes and physician coverage. The position offers opportunities to engage in teaching APP students and residents while working within a collaborative, supportive, and innovative emergency medicine team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide care at Aiken Regional Medical Center, a 273-bed community hospital with a 30-bed emergency department, certified as a chest pain and stroke center
  • Deliver emergency care at The ER at Sweetwater, a 10-bed freestanding emergency department in North Augusta, GA
  • Engage in teaching opportunities with APP students and internal/family medicine residents
  • Be part of a supportive, stable, and innovative team that genuinely cares about the community it serves
Required
  • Board-certified/eligible in emergency medicine
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Full-time commitment as an independent contractor requires 120 hours per month

Scheduling

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide care at Aiken Regional Medical Center, a 273-bed community hospital with a 30-bed emergency department, certified as a chest pain and stroke center
  • Volume: 43K annual visits with 39 hours of daily physician coverage and 30 hours of APP coverage
  • Deliver emergency care at The ER at Sweetwater, a 10-bed freestanding emergency department in North Augusta, GA
  • Volume: 23K annual visits with 24 hours of physician coverage and 12 hours of APP coverage daily
  • Engage in teaching opportunities with APP students and internal/family medicine residents
  • Be part of a supportive, stable, and innovative team that genuinely cares about the community it serves
