South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services from primary and preventive care, to specialty services for children and adults, all designed to keep our community healthy.  The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

Opportunity Details:

Evaluation, treatment, and direct care to patients in the community; which includes but is not limited to treatment at the patient's home, shelters, and public areas.
Manage all Assertive Community Treatment programs for the facility.
Manage program reporting and regulatory requirements for NYC Health + Hospitals, DOHM, Joint Commission, and other relevant parties.
Supervision and provider collaboration with Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and other mid-level provider staff.
Supervision and teaching of Residents and Medical Students.
Provide clinical guidance to other members of the healthcare team.
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
Board Certification in Psychiatry.
Active, unrestricted NYS License.
Active DEA Registration.
Minimum 3 years of direct clinical experience, preferably in community based treatment program with direct clinical experience in community settings required.
Previous leadership, management, and supervisory experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills,
Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team setting.
Familiarity with high-risk patients and cultural sensitivity in community settings.

 

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $303,000* based on 40-hour work week. 

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $373,300**, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:

Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):

Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.


Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.

Loan Forgiveness: Position may be eligible for loan forgiveness through certain state or federal programs.
Medical Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to occurrence-based): Provided at no cost to the employee.

Pre-tax employee-paid contributions for commuting expenses. 
Visa sponsorship will be considered for this position.
