Ascension
The OB Physician/Hospitalist will manage labor and delivery, provide urgent postpartum care, and care for unassigned patients in the OB Unit or Emergency Room. Responsibilities include triage, performing cesarean deliveries and circumcisions, and coordinating with Maternal Fetal Medicine. The role involves a split schedule of .6 clinical office work and .4 hospitalist duties in a Level IV hospital with a maternity center and NICU.
Key Responsibilities
- • Management of labor up to and including delivery, as requested by generalist physicians
- • Urgent postpartum care as requested by the assigned physician
- • Caring for all unassigned patients who present to the OB Unit or Emergency Room
- • Triage of all patients who present to the unit unless directly admitted
- • When necessary perform cesarean deliveries
- • Perform circumcisions
- • Communicate with Maternal Fetal Medicine on consults & actions when requested
- • Level IV hospital and nursery
- • Level IV maternity center and NICU
- • 24hr dedicated OB anesthesia
- • Outpatient Office hours as needed
- • Rapidly growing suburban market with mostly private payer mix
- • Location includes - Womens & Infants Hospital/86 Street Campus
Required
- • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
- • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required

Ascension St. Vincent Eagle Highlands is seeking to add an experienced OBGYN for a split position, involving .6 clinical in the office and .4 Hospitalist.
