The Assistant Professor on the clinical educator track provides high quality medical care to patients with endocrine diseases, conducting examinations, assessing symptoms, determining conditions, and prescribing treatment. The role includes providing outpatient and inpatient care, training endocrinology fellows, residents, and medical students, and overseeing mid-level medical and nursing clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities
- • Provide outpatient and inpatient care to patients at University of Miami Health System and Jackson Memorial Hospital.
- • Engage in training of Endocrinology fellows, residents, and medical students.
- • Oversees mid-level medical staff as assigned as well as nursing clinical staff.
Required
- • MD Degree and ACGME US Internal Medicine Internship and Residency
- • Completed 3-year ACGME US Endocrinology Fellowship
- • Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology (or board eligible)
- • Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing)
- • Valid DEA licensure
- • Current ACLS and BLS certification required
