The role involves providing transplant services to patients with end stage liver disease, focusing on liver transplant recipients, pre-transplant workup and evaluation, post-transplant care, and immunosuppression management. The candidate will participate in patient selection conferences, liver transplant clinic, house staff teaching, and is expected to engage in research productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- • Provide transplant services to patients with end stage liver disease
- • Focus on potential liver transplant recipients, pre transplant workup and evaluation
- • Provide post-transplantation care and manage immunosuppression
- • Participate in patient selection conferences
- • Participate in liver transplant clinic
- • Participate in house staff teaching
- • Participate and be productive in research
Required
- • Board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology
- • Completed a certified Hepatology Transplant Fellowship or have the experience necessary to qualify under the OPTN clinical experience pathway
