The VP of Ambulatory Operations is the physician leader responsible for daily fulfillment of ambulatory staffing operations and execution of organizational policies. This role manages clinical services in outpatient settings, oversees staffing requests, and co-leads continuous process improvement efforts. The position includes both administrative and clinical work with a hybrid schedule requiring weekly in-office presence.
Key Responsibilities
- • Accountable for daily fulfillment of JMMG’s ambulatory staffing operation and execution of JMMG’s Policies via Procedures
- • Manage the complexity of the organization with its many stakeholders
- • Manage clinical services provided by JMMG in outpatient settings (Adult, Pediatric, Urgent Care, Endocrine, Palliative Care)
- • Manage outpatient staffing requests and oversee JMMG work standards
- • Co-lead continuous process improvement efforts in the ambulatory setting with JMH
- • Undergo Lean process management training
- • Fulfill business obligations, quality of service delivery, human resource management, financial stewardship, and risk/compliance
- • Maintain a productive and positive partnership with JMH/JMHPN
- • Perform administrative work (.80 FTE, 32 hrs/week) and clinical work (minimum 0.2 and maximum 0.3 FTE)
- • Work in a hybrid role requiring weekly in-office presence
Required
- • MD/DO degree with current Board Certification in an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) approved specialty
Preferred
- • 5 years of leadership experience strongly preferred
Job Overview
- The VP of Ambulatory Operations is the physician leader accountable for daily fulfillment of JMMG’s ambulatory staffing operation and the execution of JMMG’s Policies via Procedures. The VP shall report to the JMMG COO and dotted line to JMH COO (shared operational goals and complimentary incentives).
- JMMG’s priority is to pursue the underlying community health mission by managing the complexity of the organization with its many stakeholders. The scope of services provided by JMMG includes direct clinical service staffing, management operations and strategic partnerships.
- The VP of Ambulatory Operations is responsible for operational excellence managing the clinical services provided by JMMG in outpatient settings (Adult, Pediatric, Urgent Care, Endocrine, Palliative Care). They will manage outpatient staffing requests and oversee JMMG work standards, relying on a team to assist in this endeavor. They will co-lead continuous process improvement efforts in the ambulatory setting with the JMH
- VP Amb Ops will be expected to undergo Lean process management training.
- Operational excellence is expected in fulfilling our business obligations, quality of service delivery, human resource management, financial stewardship, and risk/compliance. The management time frame is daily but includes semi-annual planning.
- The VP of Ambulatory Operations must maintain a productive and positive partnership with JMH/JMHPN. A partnership that is more valuable than contract terms will enable mutual success.
- Role to include administrative and clinical work. Admin FTE .80 FTE (32 hrs/week) and Clinical FTE: minimum 0.2 and maximum 0.3 (hours vary based on inpatient vs. outpatient).
