This role involves advancing the clinical, research, and teaching missions of the Allergy and Immunology Division through clinical duties including attending general clinics, consults, and calls, as well as participating in educational activities. The position also includes leadership, mentorship, and training responsibilities for medical students, residents, fellowship trainees, and graduate students, with an emphasis on research productivity and potential for extramural funding.
Key Responsibilities
- • Helping to advance the clinical, research, and teaching mission of the Allergy and Immunology Division
- • Attending on the general Allergy and Immunology clinics, consults and calls
- • Participation in educational activities in the division
- • Providing leadership, mentorship and training as appropriate to medical students, residents, fellowship trainees and/or graduate students
Required
- • Strong background in Allergy and Immunology
- • Completed an ACGME-accredited Allergy and Immunology fellowship program
- • Board-certification in Allergy and Immunology
- • Strong and/or developing record of peer-reviewed publications that demonstrate research productivity and the ability or potential to obtain extramural funding support
Preferred
- • Strong interest and/or experience in relevant research areas including clinical outcomes research, clinical epidemiology, bioinformatics, or implementation research

Qualified candidates will have a strong background in Allergy and Immunology, have completed an ACGME-accredited Allergy and Immunology fellowship program, hold board-certification in Allergy and Immunology, and have a strong and/or developing record of peer-reviewed publications that demonstrate research productivity and the ability or potential to obtain extramural funding support. In addition to research skills as noted, the successful candidate will be expected to provide leadership, mentorship and training as appropriate to medical students, residents, fellowship trainees and/or graduate students.
The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.
The expected base pay range for this position is $230,000.00-$280,000.00.
Northwestern University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
