Neuro-Oncologist

The Neuro-Oncologist will lead and expand a comprehensive Neuro-Oncology program, providing clinical leadership, program development, and strategic growth of Neuro-Oncology services across inpatient and outpatient settings. The role involves close collaboration with multiple specialties in a multidisciplinary environment and participation in clinical trials and research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead development and growth of the Neuro-Oncology program
  • Provide strategic direction for Neuro-Oncology across the health system
  • Expand access to neuro-oncology care across inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Develop multidisciplinary care pathways for CNS tumor patients
  • Lead multidisciplinary tumor board participation and program coordination
  • Support clinical trials growth and research initiatives
  • Recruit and mentor Neuro-Oncology faculty and APPs
  • Collaborate with neurosurgery, oncology, and radiation oncology leadership
  • Develop network-wide Neuro-Oncology services
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient Neuro-Oncology care
  • Manage patients with primary and metastatic CNS tumors
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board
  • Support development of clinical pathways and standards of care
  • Contribute to clinical trials and programmatic initiatives
Required
  • MD or DO with Board Certification in Neurology
  • Eligible for New York State licensure
  • Demonstrated clinical excellence in neuro-oncology
  • Leadership experience or interest in program development
  • Commitment to multidisciplinary care and academic growth
  • Interest in teaching residents and medical students
Preferred
  • Fellowship training in Neuro-Oncology preferred
Job Summary: The Department of Neurology at New York Medical College and Westchester Medical Center Health Network seeks a Neuro-Oncologist to lead and expand a comprehensive Neuro-Oncology program serving the Hudson Valley region. This is an opportunity to build and direct a multidisciplinary neuro-oncology service within a rapidly growing academic neurology department and a high-volume tertiary and quaternary care center. The Physician will provide clinical leadership, program development, and strategic growth of Neuro-Oncology services across inpatient and outpatient settings. The successful candidate will work closely with Neurosurgery, Neuroradiology, Neuropathology, Radiation Oncology, and Medical Oncology in a highly collaborative environment.
